Capital Markets has launched an impactful new initiative that will develop relationships with the diverse talent of future generations.
Through our New York City Scholarship Program, we've partnered with The Francis Lewis High School (FLHS) to work with graduating students of diverse backgrounds and provide mentorship and engagement opportunities within Capital Markets throughout their college education.
As part of the program, Capital Markets will also fund tuition up to $10,000 per year for two students for their entire college program at a City University of New York (CUNY) school of their choosing.
"Education is what brings about positive change and diversity of talent makes us stronger as an organization and community," says Brad Rothbaum, Managing Director & Head, U.S. Global Markets & Chief Operating Officer of BMO Capital Markets Corp in New York. "This program provides a valuable opportunity for diverse students to learn more about our industry, while also providing Capital Markets with more opportunities to learn from the unique experiences of tomorrow's leaders."
We're committed to growing an inclusive society with zero barriers to inclusion. Through initiatives like the FLHS Scholarship Program, we're driving opportunities to build meaningful and lasting relationships at earlier points in time in the students' learning journey.
"This program will help students advance academically and find their career path," says Brad. "It will also illustrate the amazing winning culture we have at BMO and will help develop a talent pipeline for future colleagues in Capital Markets."
We're proud to announce that our two scholarship recipients, Kaitlin Li & Omar Malik, both started their first year at Baruch College.
